By participating in Chatathon 2026, you agree to follow these rules and the event’s Code of Conduct.

Eligibility and Teams:

  • Participants must be registered for the event.

  • Each team must include at least one member from the original event registration to remain eligible.

  • All team members must be listed on the team’s Devpost submission.

  • Teams may enter one challenge track per project.

 

Challenge Tracks:

Participants must select one of the five official tracks on Devpost:

  • Misneach

  • WHOOP

  • ProsperiFi

  • Snyk

  • Klaviyo

If a team cannot select its track on Devpost, the track must be clearly identified in the project’s repository name and submission materials.

 

Building and Submission:

  • The official build period runs from 12:45 PM to 3:45 PM ET on September 19, 2026.

  • Projects should address the selected track’s challenge prompt and explore how AI can shape the future of work.

  • Submissions must be completed on Devpost by 3:45 PM ET.

  • Late submissions may not be eligible for judging.

  • Teams must submit a project description, track selection, explanation of AI usage, repository link, setup instructions, demonstration instructions or link, and all team member names.

  • Teams are responsible for ensuring that judges can access and review their submission.

 

Use of Technology and Intellectual Property:

  • Teams may use AI tools, APIs, frameworks, libraries, and other third-party services that they are legally permitted to use.

  • Teams must clearly explain how AI and third-party technology contributed to their project.

  • Submitted work must be original to the participating team or properly attributed and licensed.

  • Do not submit confidential, private, copyrighted, or personally identifiable information without authorization.

  • Teams retain ownership of their work, subject to the licenses and terms of any third-party tools or services they use.

  Judging:

Projects will be evaluated within their selected track. Track winners will advance to a final judging round and present their projects to determine an overall winner based on the theme of Future of Work.

There is no separate overall prize. The overall winner receives recognition, while track winners receive the prizes associated with their respective tracks.

 

Code of Conduct:

We are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free event for everyone.

Participants must:

  • Treat other participants, organizers, judges, sponsors, and guests with respect.

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, and unwelcome conduct.

  • Follow venue rules and organizer instructions.

  • Avoid behavior that is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or harmful to others.

  • Ask for consent before recording, photographing, or interviewing other participants.

If you experience or witness inappropriate behavior, notify an organizer or event staff member. Organizers may take any action they consider appropriate, including warnings, removal from the event, disqualification, or referral to the appropriate authorities.
